Processing of personal data for marketing and professional updates
Newsletters, invitations to seminars and webinars and other professional updates
It is possible to subscribe to newsletters, invitations to seminars and webinars and other professional content from BDO. To ensure that the newsletters are sent to the right person, it is necessary to register with name and e-mail address, company name and position. When signing up for one of our seminars/webinars, we will also ask for your phone number. Personal data is stored in our client database and will not be shared with others.
The legal basis for the processing is GDPR Article 6 (1)(a) (consent).
The personal data is stored as long as you are a subscriber, but you can withdraw your consent at any time. BDO will then stop sending you newsletters and other communication by e-mail, and we will delete your contact information from our register, unless you are listed as a contact person at an active client.
When you subscribe for our newsletters, we will register which subjects you are interested in, which of our web sites you visit and whether you sign up for our seminars. We do this to adjust the content in the newsletter to your interests. The legal basis for this is GDPR Article 6 (1)(f) (our legitimate interest in adjusting our communication for your purposes).
BDO may also send professional updates to contact persons with our existing clients if relevant for the client relationship without having been agreed in advance. In such cases we apply GDPR Article 6 (1)(f) (our legitimate interest in providing our clients with relevant technical content) as the legal basis. Professional updates may include information about relevant amendments of legislation. You can ask us to stop sending such information anytime.
Register of potential clients
BDO can process personal data about contact persons at potential clients to market our services by phone contact. The information is obtained from publicly available sources such as the website of the enterprise.
The legal basis for this process is GDPR Article 6 (1)(f) (our legitimate interest in marketing towards potential clients). If you do not wish to be part of our register, you can ask us to be deleted from it or protest against the process pursuant to GDPR Article 21.
The personal data shall be deleted within one year, unless a client relationship is established, the contact person subscribes for content from us or by consenting to continued storage.
