BDO has developed a data warehouse and integrations which facilitates the process of data exchange between clients and auditing teams. According to Section 5-2 of the Norwegian Auditors Act the auditor shall collect the accounting information required for the execution of audit. The use of a data warehouse in the auditing process will ease the information and documentation flow. Click on the tab concerning your accounting system, and you will find more information related to the process of exchanging data with BDO.
For you as a client the integration will not result in any changes. The accounting data will be collected in a new way; however, the auditing services performed will not change. We believe that using a data warehouse facilitating the integration with our client’s accounting systems will improve the customer experience. The customer experience will be improved in several ways, including:
- Improved information flow and transfer between clients and auditor
- Reduced administrative burdens for our clients
- Improved quality of audits
We will only use the integration to collect the reports which we need for the execution of the audit, and which the accounting system allows. This will for instance be balance sheets, general ledger, subledgers and other information related to the general ledger. We will still depend on clients to send us other necessary documentation for audit, for example vouchers.
